Many great things are happening at Emmaus Catholic Parish and our Religious Education program has played a vital role in fostering our children’s success and growth in their faith journey. My name is Virginia DeNisio and I am very excited to be joining the team at Emmaus as the Coordinator of Children’s Faith Formation, which includes catechesis and evangelization of all children of the parish from early childhood through grade five.
My family and I have been parishioners at Emmaus since 2006, after moving to Lakeway from San Antonio. My children—a 7thgrade daughter and a 4thgrade son—attend LTISD schools and participate in the Emmaus religious education programs. As a parent, I am passionate about being involved with my children and their activities. I’ve served as a catechist, in numerous volunteer and leadership roles with our church, at the children’s schools and in our community. I am committed to working hard to enrich the religious education of our children through open communication, by providing leadership and support to the children, parents, teachers, volunteers and staff of Emmaus.
I am honored to serve and ask for your support as we begin Fall Registration for all faith formation classes on August 1st. Please consider volunteering as a Catechist, Catechist Aide and/or Children’s Liturgy of the Word leader. I believe that “it takes a parish family” to raise and educate our children in the Catholic Faith.
